Title Insurance Advisor Level 3 - Team

Position Overview
Our newest location, South Burnaby Insurance, is searching for a Regular Full-Time Level 3 Insurance Advisor, who will bring their initiative and highly dynamic sales skills to work within a unique and entrepreneurial self managed team to build awareness of the BCAA insurance brand within the South Burnaby community. This position will be highly focused on building relationships and looking for ways to generate new business through non traditional promotion and sales of BCAA Insurance products with the goal to increase market share through offering exceptional customer experience.
 
In addition to the base salary, your Level III Insurance License will qualify you for an additional $300.00 per month Stipend Pay. 
Key Responsibilities Include

Exceptional customer experiences through proactively seeking, selling and servicing business for a select group of BCAA products – primarily home and travel medical insurance. This will include, but is not limited, to handling in-store customers, seeking and generating new business opportunities, follow up calls and emails, creation of cross sell opportunities and referrals for this location and others, office administration, handling of all required documents for each policy sold and participation at community events as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Post secondary education at a recognized university or college,
  • Insurance Agent Level 3 License,
  • 3 current and consecutive years of general insurance experience, with 1 year experience in selling home and travel medical insurance,
  • Demonstrated productivity, selling skills, and experience in providing exceptional customer experiences with limited errors and omissions,
  • Proven business building skills,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Fluent in use of applicable insurance systems, and
  • Experience in leading and working effectively within a team environment. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in an autonomous work environment, and proven ability to adapt to change.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of BCAA’s insurance products and systems,
  • Completion of BCAA’s photo training,
  • Completion of BCAA’s Total Membership Satisfaction 1, 3 and 4 courses or the equivalent “selling” and “customer service” courses,
  • CAIB 1, 2 and 3,
  • Training in negotiation, problem solving and collaboration, and
  • Conversational Mandarin or Cantonese
